The point of Preventive Care is catching problems while they are small. That means reviewing your risk factors, recommending routine screenings at the right time, ordering the tests that make sense and following up on what they show.
Not every screening or lab test is right for every patient. Recommendations stay individual, and we explain why a test is or is not on your list.
Examples, not a complete list. If you do not see your concern, ask us.
Wade’s Care First is a full medical practice delivered through telehealth. When it is medically appropriate, we order, prescribe, refer and coordinate the services you would expect from a traditional outpatient practice.
Blood work, urine tests, hormone and PSA testing, completed at a lab near you.
X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs ordered through local imaging centers.
Testing matched to your symptoms, history and plan, including sleep studies when indicated.
Orders for durable medical equipment and supplies when medically necessary.
Referrals to cardiology, endocrinology, sleep medicine and more, with your care kept connected.
Prescribing and adjusting medications when clinically appropriate and allowed by law.
Every result reviewed with you, explained, and turned into a next step.
Pharmacogenomic information that may help inform mental-health medication decisions.

Family history can change when certain screenings begin and which risk factors deserve attention. Share significant conditions in close relatives when available.
The best colorectal cancer screening method depends on your age, risk, past results and preferences. An abnormal stool test generally requires follow-up colonoscopy.
Bone health assessment depends on age, fracture history, medications and other risk factors. We can discuss whether a bone-density test or further assessment is appropriate.

Screening depends on your age, medical and family history, and risk factors. It may include blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, cancer, bone-density or STI screening. Your provider explains which tests fit your needs and when to repeat them.
Yes. When clinically indicated, we can order tests such as cholesterol panels, A1c, thyroid tests, kidney or liver function, blood counts and selected vitamin levels. The choice and timing depend on your symptoms, conditions, medications and previous results; not everyone needs all of these tests routinely.
Services, screening recommendations, testing, treatment options, referrals and prescribing may vary with your age, medical history, symptoms, where you are physically located at the time of the visit, state and federal requirements, insurance requirements, and whether your condition can be safely managed by telehealth. Conditions and services listed here are examples. An appointment does not guarantee a particular diagnosis, a prescription, a controlled medication, hormone therapy, a lab order, an imaging study, a sleep study, a specialist referral, an accommodation letter or a particular treatment. Treatment decisions follow a clinical evaluation and the provider’s judgment.
