When in-person care is needed.
Telehealth can manage many acute, routine, preventive and chronic needs. It cannot replace every in-person service.
If you need a hands-on exam, a procedure, a vaccine, an emergency evaluation, a specialist assessment, formal sleep testing or anything else that cannot be done safely by video, we help identify the right next step and coordinate it where appropriate. Your care with Wade’s Care First continues afterward.
Getting started.
How does a telehealth appointment with Wade’s Care First work?
Choose your state, service and appointment time, then complete the intake. Meet Charles Wade, FNP-BC by secure video to review your history and care needs. Prescriptions and testing orders go to local facilities, and visit notes are available in your patient portal.
What conditions can be treated through telehealth?
Many acute, routine, preventive and chronic conditions can be treated by video, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, weight management, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid conditions, infections, rashes and minor injuries. Each service page lists the conditions we commonly evaluate and treat. If something needs a hands-on exam, we tell you and help arrange it.
What should I have ready for my first appointment?
Confirm where you will be during the visit. Have your insurance or self-pay choice, pharmacy details and medication list ready. Bring any relevant records, test results or home readings you already have; you do not need to buy equipment to book.
How long does a typical telehealth appointment take?
Length depends on the reason for the visit. A first visit or a full evaluation such as mental health or ADHD takes longer than a follow-up or a quick sick visit. Plan for the full slot you booked so nothing feels rushed.
What technology do I need for my appointment?
A smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera, a microphone and a steady internet connection. A quiet, private, well-lit spot helps. No special equipment or app purchase is required.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Check availability for your state and service, including same-day openings when offered, or call 317-765-0603.
What happens after my telehealth appointment?
Any prescription goes to your pharmacy, any lab or imaging orders go to a facility near you, and your visit notes appear in your patient portal. When results come back, we review them and tell you what they mean and what comes next.
How do follow-up appointments work?
Book a follow-up to review results, discuss how treatment is working or adjust your care plan. Choose the appropriate service and established-patient option. The fee depends on the visit type and payment method.
What happens if telehealth isn’t appropriate for my condition?
We tell you during the visit and point you to the right next step, whether that is a local clinic, imaging center, specialist, urgent care or the emergency room. When appropriate, we place the orders or referrals and stay involved afterward.
What happens if I need an in-person examination or procedure?
We tell you and help arrange it at an appropriate local facility or with a specialist. Your care with us continues afterward.
Can you help coordinate in-person care when telehealth isn’t enough?
Yes. Telehealth when appropriate, in-person services when needed, coordinated care throughout. We place the orders or referrals and follow up on what they show.
